The label is the last station
Private label does not mean a unit rolls off the line with a different print on it. It means somebody else stands behind what happened on the test bench.
Selling a power station under your own name is not selling hardware. It is selling the assurance that every single unit passed the same checks before it shipped. That assurance cannot be deselected or shortened — it is the actual content of the label.
The moment it is decided
The buying decision is not made at the trade fair. It is made at the first unit that comes back. A machine returns from a rental fleet and someone has to explain why it no longer runs. From that call onwards, the print does not count. What counts is whether a record exists that documents the condition before delivery: serial number, firmware version, measured values, result.
A print without a record is a claim. A print with a record is an assurance. The difference only becomes visible when it gets expensive.
What you inherit — and what you do not
You inherit a document, not a phrasing. Every unit passes three stations in our plant — assembly places, an IQC test bench and burn-in racks — with a protocol of ten checks in between. What is measured there, at which loads and at which shutdown thresholds, is set out in full in Three stations, ten checkpoints — the values are listed there individually instead of being asserted a second time here.
Important for purchasing: a test protocol is a measurement, not a warranty. It states the condition in which the unit left the plant. It does not state what the customer does with it. Whoever confuses the two is selling a warranty they do not control.
Where customisation ends
Logo printing is a printing question. Housing shape is a tooling question. Two different processes with two different lead times — and they are confused regularly.
Printing on the unit works without tooling. Anything touching the housing shape, the layout of the connection panel or the sheet-metal contour involves tooling and is assessed as its own project, not as a variant.
The honest answer to a special-request enquiry is therefore rarely yes or no. It is: this is a print, or this is a tool. Whoever does not know the difference plans the lead time wrong.
And the ten checks belong in neither category. They are not configurable — not for a surcharge, not on request. Whoever wants them removed does not want private label; they want a different risk.
What comes with the name
Three documents travel with the label: the unit's test report, the datasheet in German and the conformity information.
- CE under the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, test report A2409245-C01-R01-V1
- UN 3480, class 9, for sea transport — packaging certified by the competent customs authority
- Protection rating IP54
This is what purchasing and legal need before they talk about quantities. It exists in German, not as a translation of somebody else's datasheet.
Three details are enough for a solid answer
Which configuration you want to carry, which voltage — 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase from three units in parallel — and which quantity, per model, per series or per order.
We answer with feasibility, required tooling and lead time. Not with a price list, and not with a promise we cannot keep later.
